2021 coincides with the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Taiwan Cultural Association. On November 11, the Ministry of Culture held the "Cultural Association Medal" award ceremony. I would like to pay the highest respect to a guardian. A hundred years ago, young people of the era, such as Lin Xiantang, Cai Huiru, Lin Youchun, Jiang Weishui, Wu Haihui, Cai Peihuo, and Lai He, founded the "Taiwan Cultural Association" to promote cultural enlightenment and set off a new cultural movement in Taiwan.
Over the past 100 years, generations of people have responded to the enlightenment of the Taiwan Cultural Association, creating a cultural landscape and cultural self-confidence for Taiwan to flourish. Upholding the power of deep cultural cultivation, the Association has explored the subjectivity of Taiwan along the way. It has been passed down to this day and continues to promote Taiwan's cultural self-confidence.

The Ministry of Culture expresses its deep gratitude to Wang Yuanlin, chairman of the "Wang Yuanlin Cultural and Art Foundation", for his long-term contribution to the development of local literature and art, and acts as a facilitator for Taiwan's cultural cultivation. Chairman Wang Yuanlin has a successful business operation in Vietnam. He is in charge of Fulin Plastics and has been listed among the top 500 enterprises in Vietnam. He is the pride of PVC man-made factories.
More than 30 years ago, he started planting trees in nearly 100 hectares of forest land in Liugui Baolai, Kaohsiung, and has already produced 100,000 trees. His original intention was based on the concept of "planting trees and loving the earth", and later his concern for the art field in Taiwan was derived. . Therefore, in October 2016, he established the "Wang Yuanlin Culture and Art Foundation" with sole proprietorship, and held the "Bamboo and Plum Source Art Award" oil painting competition every year, hoping to encourage and discover more young art elites.
In November 2017, "Zhumei Yuanwen Space" was established to create a cultural platform that can be close to artistic aesthetics, connect the emotional impression of the community, and integrate artistic life and aesthetic economy. At present, a 2-hectare "Wang Yuanlin Art Museum" is being built in Qishan, hoping to leave a color for the development of Taiwan's art and promote the promotion of Taiwan's cultural and artistic energy. This time, the award and certificate of the Cultural Association of the Ministry of Culture will uphold the guardian of cultural promotion. We will continue to create the beauty of Taiwan's culture and arts, enrich Taiwan's multiculturalism, and advance hand in hand for the next century.
