2022 National Painting Contest held its first exhibition and selection of winning works from the donation collection painting contest

The Southern Taiwan Art Association of the Republic of China was founded in 1953 by Liu Qixiang, a painter who studied in Japan, and other senior painters. It is the first painting association in Kaohsiung after the war and became a nationally registered art group in 1997. We hold a national call for submissions every year to promote the arts and spare no effort in supporting the younger generation. This year's 70th Southern Exhibition was open for submissions from July 18 to July 22, 2012, and was promoted online on the websites of cultural bureaus across the country. A total of 198 works participated in the competition. After preliminary review, re-review and final review, a total of 37 winning works were officially produced. A selection event for donated collection works will be held at Zhumeiyuan Art Space in Kaohsiung City from 10:30 am to 18:30 pm on October 1. The first exhibition will be held at the same venue from October 1 to November 23. It will be exhibited together with members' works at Taichung Dadun Cultural Center and Kaohsiung Cultural Center from November 27 to December 20, 2022. The opening tea party and award ceremony for the painting competition will be held at Zhizhenyi Hall of Kaohsiung Cultural Center at 3 pm on December 10 (Saturday).
In order to encourage creators and promote art collection, a collection award for winning works of the painting competition has been added. The works participating in this activity are winning works that are willing to be collected. Those who donate 90,000 yuan can collect a gold, silver or bronze work; those who donate 80,000 yuan can collect a selected work; and those who donate 70,000 yuan can collect a selected work. You can go to the exhibition site to select pictures during the exhibition selection period. Any company or individual who donates works to the collection will have the name of the company or individual award indicated in this year's album, such as the Chen Chunyang Award. Everyone is welcome to come and guide us to join in this great event.
