Wang Yuanlin Art Museum Model Released

Wang Yuanlin, chairman of the Wang Yuanlin Culture and Art Foundation, a consortium, will build an art museum dedicated to Taiwan's characteristic art collections in Qishan District. The results of the public drawing call were won by Chen Zhangan Architects. At present, this art museum is built The model is on public display for the first time at the "Zhumeiyuan Literary and Art Award 2019 National Oil Painting Creation Competition" winning works exhibition at the Kaohsiung City Cultural Center to the Second Hall.

Chairman Wang Yuanlin is a successful entrepreneur in Vietnam. More than 30 years ago, he started to plant trees in nearly 100 hectares of forest land in Liuguibaolai, Kaohsiung, and has already produced 100,000 trees. The concept of "the Earth" later derived his concern for the art field in Taiwan. Therefore, in October 2016, he set up the "Wang Yuanlin Culture and Art Foundation" with sole proprietorship, and holds the "Bamboo Meiyuan Literature and Art Award" oil painting competition every year. At present, a considerable number of outstanding works of contemporary Taiwanese artists have been collected and owned.

The art museum has functions such as display, education, promotion, and social reflection. In order to give back to the society, it allows the public to share the achievements of contemporary Taiwanese artists’ efforts, as well as a specific platform for deep cultivation of art promotion and education. Chairman Wang Yuanlin intends to practice corporate ethics again and undertake greater social public welfare. In Qishan District, a museum dedicated to Taiwan's characteristic art collection will be built, and he will try his best to complete the public welfare mission of enhancing the artistic atmosphere.

Wang Yuanlin Art Museum will connect with the resources related to recreation in the surrounding area, and build a high-quality art museum park with both "sensibility" and "intellectuality", providing visitors with a unique experience of feasting and resting. The Wang Yuanlin Art Museum is expected to be completed in 2025.
